a woman and man smile together while holding each other

Patients and families are encouraged to attend a Medicare seminar this fall to stay informed about their healthcare options and ensure they select the coverage that best fits their needs.

Choosing the right Medicare plan can feel overwhelming, but Loma Linda University Health (LLUH) is making it easier for seniors and their families to understand their options through no-cost Medicare educational seminars offered across the Inland Empire and online.

Information sessions

LLUH hosts no-cost Medicare educational seminars every fall, helping patients and families navigate their options, understand new benefits, and get answers to questions.

Offered both in-person at venues across the Inland Empire (Beaumont, Redlands, Yucaipa, Fontana, and more) and virtually via Zoom, sessions are scheduled through early December, aligning with the Annual Enrollment Period (Oct 15-Dec 7).

Whether you are already enrolled or just turning 65, seniors and their families can:

  • Understand differences in Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement options.

  • Get updates on annual Medicare changes in plain language.

  • Speak directly with trusted community agents who prioritize patient needs.

  • Access resources for low-income assistance programs for prescription costs.

These events are open to everyone, not just HMO members, and cover Medicare Advantage, supplements, and resources like the Extra Help/Low-Income Subsidy program for prescription costs.

Dedicated care

At LLUH’s Medicare Advantage primary care clinics, seniors receive specialized whole-person care from providers who focus exclusively on Medicare Advantage patients. These doctors understand the unique needs of older adults, ensuring they receive comprehensive, personalized healthcare.

The clinics are designed around the needs of seniors, giving patients more time to talk through health concerns and create personalized care plans. Prevention is emphasized through education, routine screenings, and vaccinations, while also ensuring patients have easy access to LLUH’s wide network of specialists whenever additional care is needed.
