Loma Linda University Children's Hospital (LLUCH) patients and families gathered for the annual Fall Festival on Tuesday, Oct. 15, an event brought to life by Spirit of Children.

For 11 years, Spirit of Children has partnered with LLUCH Child Life Department to make hospital stays less intimidating for kids and their families by bringing joy during the fall season.

Patients who attended the festival enjoyed costumes, arts and crafts, and festive treats. For those unable to leave their rooms, Child Life specialists brought the fun to them, delivering activities and seasonal goodies at the bedside to ensure they didn’t miss out on the celebration.

The Child Life Department offers developmental, educational, and therapeutic support to children undergoing medical treatment. The trained specialists assist children and their families in managing the stress and challenges that come with hospitalization.

Through their seasonal fundraiser at Inland Empire Spirit stores, Spirit of Children has raised over $1.2 millionfor LLUCH over the last 11 years.
