Rosalyn Phan, DNP, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, assistant vice president for Magnet, research, evidence-based practice and clinical innovation for Loma Linda University Health, has been named as a Young Professional Voices honoree by the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL). The award program recognizes nurse leaders who show considerable promise as healthcare leaders and illustrate outstanding leadership within their organization, community and nursing profession.
Phan is one of 20 people selected nationally for the award, which is based on exemplary leadership proven through innovation, influence, and inclusion.
“I am so grateful for the nominations and recognition,” Phan said. “I have received unwavering support, both personally and professionally, and this has truly made a difference for me.”
Phan has twice successfully managed LLUH for Magnet designation for both the Medical Center and Children’s Hospital. LLUH was the first hospital to pioneer a Magnet virtual site visit in 2020 and successfully managed Magnet re-designation. She has also ensured progressive development of our Clinical Advancement Program and has represented Loma Linda University Health on the national front notably for Nurse excellence.
“I feel incredibly blessed and fortunate to have Rosalyn as part of our leadership team and am so thankful to have her intellect, character and work ethic applied to our work at Loma Linda University Health,” said Helen Staples-Evans, DNP, RN, NE-BC, Loma Linda University Health’s chief nursing officer. Her commitment and sense of ownership over her responsibilities, from Magnet to inspiring her teams to accomplish more than they thought was possible, makes this such a well-deserved recognition and honor.”
Along with her fellows, Phan will be recognized at the AONL 2026 Annual Conference in Chicago in March.
