Becker’s Hospital Review has recognized Loma Linda University Health by placing it on the 2023 list of 150 top places to work in healthcare in the nation.

Organizations selected by Becker’s include those who “provide comprehensive benefit packages, opportunities for professional development, inclusive work environments and the flexibility needed for a true work-life balance.” The list also factored in community impact, including contributing to local initiatives and providing volunteer opportunities.

“Inclusion on this national list is a testament to the environment we create for employees to perform well and enjoy serving along with their colleagues,” said Richard Hart, MD, DrPH, president of Loma Linda University Health. “The entire healthcare industry faces challenges in recruitment. Becker’s recognition is a strong affirmation of our efforts to provide a nourishing setting in which faculty and staff can flourish as they educate students and serve patients, many of whom travel here from nearby regions to receive exceptional care.”

Loma Linda University Health is a non-profit, faith-based institution that is composed of six hospitals, a large faculty practice group, eight professional schools, and a healthcare technical career college. It includes a Level 1 regional trauma center and a medical school. More than 18,000 employees work across the organization, which is located in Southern California’s Inland Empire.

Becker’s is a prominent source of news about healthcare business and public affairs.
