Doctor and patient

Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital has been recognized among America's Best Children’s Hospitals 2026 by Newsweek in partnership with Statista.

The recognitions are based on a nationwide survey of healthcare managers and providers, performance metrics, patient experience survey data, and Statista patient-reported outcomes.

The recognition comes less than two months after Newsweek identified LLU Children’s Hospital as a top national hospital for maternity care.

“Medical expertise and compassion are inseparable at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital,” said Peter Baker, JD, MBA, senior vice president and administrator. “This Newsweek recognition is reassurance to the children, teens, and moms in our region that they will find a dedicated staff ready to offer the full breadth of care in one welcoming location.”

Newsweek also recognized LLU Children’s Hospital as a Best Specialized Hospital for the following specialties:

  • Endocrine Care
  • Cardiac Care
  • Neurological Care
  • Cancer Care
  • Orthopedic Care
  • Pulmonary Care
  • Gastrointestinal Care

LLU Children’s Hospital is the only dedicated pediatric hospital in the vast geographic region of San Bernardino, Riverside, Inyo, and Mono counties. With 364 beds dedicated just for kids, one of the largest Neonatal Intensive Care Units in the country and more than 100,000 children who come each year, the institution is a major pediatric teaching facility, known worldwide as the pioneer of neonatal heart transplantation.

LLU Children’s Hospital is part of Loma Linda University Health — the umbrella organization encompassing Loma Linda University’s eight professional schools and Loma Linda University Medical Center’s six hospitals.
