Loma Linda University Health receives top safety grades from Leapfrog.

Loma Linda University Medical Center and East Campus hospitals received their 15th and 16th consecutive “A” patient safety ratings, respectively, and Loma Linda University Medical Center-Murrieta received its fifth consecutive “A” from the Leapfrog Group for Spring 2026.

The Leapfrog Safety Grades, updated twice annually in the spring and fall, recognize Loma Linda University Health’s focused efforts to protect patients from preventable harm and error in the hospital.

“The Loma Linda University Health’s commitment to our values of excellence and teamwork forms the foundation of our ability to deliver consistent, exceptional care every day," said Anthony Hilliard, MD, FACC, LLUH President-Elect and CEO of Loma Linda University Health Hospitals. “Patient safety is an important part of everything we do, and these latest Leapfrog awards reassure our Inland Empire community that LLUH’s hardworking team focuses on providing the highest quality of care to each patient, every time.”

The Leapfrog Group, an independent national watchdog organization, assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D,” or “F” safety grades to general hospitals across the country based on more than 30 national performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries, and infections, as well as systems hospitals have in place to prevent harm.

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program based exclusively on a hospital's prevention of medical errors and patient harm. The organization’s grading system is peer-reviewed, fully transparent, and accessible to the public.
