From nationally ranked Obstetrics & Gynecology to the Inland Empire's top-rated programs in cancer, rehabilitation, and cardiovascular care, Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC) has been ranked among the best hospitals in the Riverside-San Bernardino Metro area by U.S. News & World Report.

LLUMC earned recognition in more than a dozen specialties, procedures, and conditions in U.S. News & World Report's 2026-2027 Best Hospitals edition. Among the honors, LLUMC was nationally ranked (#22) in Obstetrics & Gynecology. This is the highest distinction a hospital can earn as part of U.S. News’ Best Hospitals Procedures & Conditions ratings.

LLUMC was also ranked #1 in the Riverside-San Bernardino region for the specialties of Rehabilitation, Cancer, and Cardiology, Heart & Vascular Surgery.

LLUMC earned the “High Performing” distinction for the following 15 specialties and common adult procedures and conditions:

In addition, LLUMC was ranked a Best Regional Hospital for Community Access. This distinction means the hospital excelled in caring for patients in all socioeconomic groups in the community while maintaining high-quality care.

LLUMC-Murrieta also earned the "High Performing" distinction for the treatment of diabetes.

U.S. News evaluated nearly 4,500 hospitals across 14 adult specialties and 23 procedures and conditions; less than half earned recognition in any of those 37 areas of care.

U.S. News’ annual Procedures & Conditions ratings are designed to assist patients and their health care providers in making informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions or elective procedures.

To determine the Best Hospitals, U.S. News analyzed each hospital’s performance based on objective measures such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications and patient experience. The Best Hospitals Specialty rankings methodology and Procedures & Conditions ratings methodology measure patient outcomes using data from over 800 million records of patient care.
