Huma Shah, DrPH, FACHE, associate professor and program director of healthcare administration at Loma Linda University School of Public Health, was named a top achiever in the 2025 American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Leader-to-Leader Rewards Program, an initiative in which more than 1,600 members participated to encourage colleagues to join ACHE or advance to Fellow status. She was recently acknowledged by her peers at the ACHE Congress on Healthcare Leadership.
As part of the recognition, Shah’s achievement will also be highlighted in the Congress Daily e-newsletter and in Healthcare Executive magazine.
Shah said she views the award as a reflection of the broader commitment shown by healthcare leaders who actively engage in their professional development and in strengthening the profession.
“I am grateful for this recognition and to be part of a community of leaders dedicated to learning, collaboration, and service,” she said.
Shah has long believed in the value of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) as a learning organization that supports the growth and development of healthcare leaders. During the past eight years, she consistently encouraged colleagues and emerging leaders to engage with ACHE and take advantage of the opportunities it provides for professional development. She has served in various roles in the organization, including on local councils and the ACHE SoCal board, on which she has served as vice chair and president.
Shah is particularly passionate about supporting leaders in advancing toward the Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) credential, believing it as an important milestone that strengthens both individual leadership capacity and the broader healthcare management profession.
“Dr. Shah exemplifies Loma Linda University commitment to professional development, where leaders continually learn new and best practices for the benefit of our students and patients,” said Adam Aréchiga, PsyD, DrPH, dean of the School of Public Health. “Her motivation to achieve excellence has earned her this well-deserved recognition.”
