The Big Hearts for Little Hearts Desert Guild hosted its membership luncheon on Nov. 8 at Biggi Bird Gardens in Palm Desert, drawing around 125 attendees to celebrate and advocate for its mission, supporting pediatric cancer research and treatment at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. This year's theme, "Let Love Grow," was co-chaired by Amirah Halum and CJ Westrick-Bomar, with Master of Ceremonies, John Nelson – Lifetime member and husband of Guild President, Angie Nelson.

Hostess Lindi Biggi captivated guests by sharing her exotic birds, adding a memorable element to the gathering. Jeff and Noelle Creiglow took the stage to share their family's emotional journey following their son Jameson's leukemia diagnosis and highlighted his close connection with Loma Linda University Children's Hospital (LLUCH).

Brett Walls, Assistant Vice President of Ambulatory Services at LLUCH, spoke to attendees, highlighting the Desert Guild's significant impact on the community. He emphasized how the Guild's advocacy and contributions support families receiving treatment at LLUCH. Walls also discussed the essential role of the Indio Clinic in assisting desert families and explained how LLUCH's ambulatory services reach more than 11 million children across the state.
