Loma Linda University will host 2019 graduation services in three installments.

Loma Linda University will hold graduation ceremonies to celebrate the accomplishments of students from its eight schools over the course of three upcoming dates. Three of the university’s eight schools will hold services on Sunday, May 26. The remaining five schools will hold services on Sunday, June 16. San Manuel Gateway College will hold its graduation services on Monday, June 17, at 6 p.m. in Drayson Center.

Here’s an overview of 2019 commencement services for the eight schools.

Sunday, May 26

The School of Medicine will hold its Conferring of Degrees ceremony at 8:30 a.m. on the University Mall. David Turay, MD, head of surgery, trauma division, at LLU School of Medicine, will be the speaker.

The School of Pharmacy will hold its Conferring of Degrees ceremony at 1:30 p.m. on the University Mall. Bradley P. Tice, PharmD, MBA, senior vice president of Aspen RxHealth and founder of RxGenomix, will be the speaker.

The School of Dentistry will hold its Conferring of Degrees ceremony at 5 p.m. on the University Mall, between the school and the Loma Linda University Church. Sam Leonor, MDiv, chaplain at La Sierra University, will be the speaker.

Sunday, June 16

The School of Allied Health Professions will hold two Conferring of Degrees ceremonies. The first, for Allied Health Programs, will be held at 8 a.m. in Drayson Center. The second, for Occupational Therapy, Orthotics & Prosthetics, and Physical Therapy, will be held at 10:30 a.m. in Drayson Center. Miguel Mendez, MDiv, associate pastor at Loma Linda University Church, will speak for both services.

The School of Behavioral Health and the School of Religion will hold joint graduation services at 3:30 p.m. in Drayson Center. Theodore “Ted” Baehr, JD, film producer, author and critic, will be the speaker.

The School of Nursing will hold its Conferring of Degrees ceremony at 6 p.m. in Drayson Center. Keri K. Medina, DNSc, RN, assistant professor at LLU School of Nursing, will be the speaker.

The School of Public Health will hold its Conferring of Degrees ceremony at 1:30 p.m. in Drayson Center. Damian Chandler, MDiv, senior pastor of Capitol City SDA Church, will be the speaker.
