The LLU Board has appointed Paul Herrmann, MD, PhD, as Chief Executive Officer of Loma Linda University in addition to his role as Provost. In this expanded capacity, Dr. Herrmann will use the title Chancellor of Loma Linda University.
As Executive Vice President for University Affairs of LLUH and Chancellor of LLU, Paul Herrmann, MD, PhD, will provide vision, direction, and support for its educational, research, and service mission. In this role, he oversees operations across LLU's eight schools, guiding educational quality and accreditation, faculty development, and interprofessional education and research initiatives while ensuring alignment with the university's mission and values. A respected academic leader and graduate of the LLU School of Medicine, Dr. Herrmann brings decades of service to the institution and is uniquely positioned to lead the university as it prepares future health professionals, advances discovery, and expands its global impact.
The LLUH Board has appointed Lyndon Edwards, MBA, MHS, as Executive Vice President for Hospital Affairs. As Executive Vice President for Hospital Affairs of LLUH and COO of LLUH Hospitals, Lyndon Edwards, MBA, MHS, will continue to provide strategic leadership and operational guidance, strengthening our ability to serve our stakeholders and fulfill our mission. Since joining Loma Linda University Health in 2012, he has helped lead significant advancements in patient care, quality, and operational performance. Under his leadership, our hospitals have earned national recognition for patient safety and quality, reflecting his focus on excellence and continuous improvement. His extensive healthcare leadership experience, commitment to building high-performing teams, and active community engagement position him well for this important role.
These two Executive Vice Presidents, as well as the Executive Vice President for Financial Affairs and the Executive Vice President for Medical Affairs, report to the President, Anthony Hilliard, MD. The four Executive Vice Presidents and the President comprise the senior executive team of Loma Linda University Health.
